    I've forgotten how many hit songs .38 Special has produced, and this CD was a much needed refresher course.

    With my local rock radio stations no longer around and the oldies radio station trying to reinvent itself as a little-bit-of-everything station, my knowledge of rock songs has suffered a bit (I don't do streaming services for a number reasons. Like being cheap). The song Back to Paradise is the reason why I bought it. For years I've known that this was the only CD album release of the song that I enjoy wholeheartedly (even if certain .38 Special fans don't think highly of it due to its sound in relation to earlier works. At least, that's what I remember reading). The price was too good to refuse, so I bought it. I should've bought it sooner. I've forgotten how many hit songs .38 Special has produced, and this CD was a much needed refresher course.

    The best Southern Rock Band

    They had hits at the end of 1979 to the mid1980s, .38 Special was based in Jacksonville, Florida that their songs hit the top 10 with Hold On Loosely, If I'd Been The One, Caught Up In You, Fantasy Girl, & many more. They give the meaning to the word Southern Rock band, I would call them the next Lynard Skynard of the 80's.
