Difficult to know if screwed on completely or level with self-application. I assume the backs won't screw on if not lined up. Posts are very long, not allowing earring to remain flush to the ear. Gives an odd floating appearance. Keeping the clear backs on with screw back seems to stop "the float". I do recommend.
