    Great cookbook, great cultural history, fun read.

    Lots of different ways to appreciate this book. First off, the recipes are wonderful, and most of them are not so complex that you don't want to try them. Some are downright easy, in fact. Second, there is history here. The move from Sicily to the United States says a lot about both sides of the ocean. Third, the writer has a great sense of humor, and he talks to us as a wise figure who teaches us more than we thought we'd learn, in an easy and informal way. I feel as though an Italian uncle is talking to me after dinner, over a few glasses of wine! I first heard about this book when I read that Dr. Fauci was reading it during the Covid-19 pandemic, and now I can appreciate what an escape it must've been for him of an evening, after so many difficult days leading the public during a hard ...

    Two Thumbs Up for the LoFrisco Family Cookbook

    The LoFrisco Family Cookbook is well-written and has appealing recipes and entertaining stories. Photos are also spread throughout the cookbook. It will make a wonderful gift for anyone who enjoys cookbooking Italian food and has a love for well-told stories. I am giving the cookbook 4 stars due to two reasons, the binding and the color of pages. The binding is extremely tight and needs to be properly "broken in" in order to turn the pages easily. I find the dark text on the dark background hard to read, but young eyes probably won't have an issue with that. It's my personal preference to have light text on a dark background or dark text on a light background. I am *very* happy with the LoFrisco Family Cookbook and would give it as gifts without any hesitation.

    Very poor representation of Sicilian food!

    Sunday Sauce???? Chopped meat and a can of tomatoes??? Ravioli ??.......'buy frozen....boil .....add Sunday Sauce' Sorry, My family is Sicilian and this is the worst representation of our food I've ever seen.
