I purchased a generic remote control for my sony tv because my old original remote that came with the sony tv was old and starting to wear out. I contacted sony for a replacement and they stopped making that model. I have only been using the new remote for a short while. I cant remark on longevity. So far it works fine. "Very Cheap, Very Brittle Remote"
The remote is made of the brittlest plastic known in the industry and my remote already shows signs of cracking after only being dropped from my hip. I bought three of these remotes because of the price but the quality of the plastic used in this remote is very brittle and consequently makes the remote garbage.
