This is actually my boyfriends first iPhone. His old phone quit working so I talked him into an iPhone. He absolutely was against purchasing one! He uses his iPhone more than his old flip phone and, I see him cleaning it before placing it in its' cover case. Yeah, I think he likes it!

I received my phone on time and it seems to work well. The outward appearance was good. The only problem I can see is the battery doesn't seem to stay up very long. I do not use the phone a lot but leave I do leave it on all of the time and have to recharge it every other day. I was also disappointed that there was no charging cable included, as the other phone I received that didn't work so well did have a cable included with it and it was a lower priced phone.

Apple iPhone 4S PROS Apple's iPhone 4S has a faster processor (A5 chip) and an upgraded camera, all the benefits of iOS 5, and SIRI, a useful and immensely fun voice assistant. Call quality on some providers is admirable, and the data speeds, while certainly not 4G, get the job done. CONS Poor battery life. It's about time we get a larger screen. Not completely fixed antenna reception problems in spite of dual antenna. With a dual-core processor, upgraded 8 megapixel camera with Full HD video recording, the latest iOS 5, iCloud and the voice-activated Siri intelligent assistant, there's plenty of reasons to regard the new phone. Expensive and technically it hasn't got very much that rival handsets haven't, but it's the best that Apple have ever made. In fact that makes it very good. The iPhone 4S has the same glass and metal construction as the i phone 4. You won't find any creaks or loose parts, and the only plastic used on the phone is for the home button below the display. Apple's use of glass for both the front and back of the phone may be questioned by those who tend to drop their phones often, as it has a tendency to shatter, despite it being reinforced. The i fone 4S' display is noticeably different than the Super AMOLED Plus screens from Samsung, as it's not nearly as saturated and punchy. However, the colors seem more accurate, and the screen is just a joy to look at. The new A5 dual-core processor (as seen in the iPad 2) makes things noticeably faster. Apps launch quicker, web pages load faster, multi-tasking is more fluid and resource-hungry apps like Pages now allow you to edit documents without any lag. Competitors will argue that their phones have been able to produce similar results for months, and they'd be right, but it remains a little upgrade. Conclusion: The iPhone 4S isn't the king of cell phones, but it's part of the royal family nonetheless. Even without 4G and a fair screen, this phone's smart voice assistant, SIRI, the benefits of iOS 5, and its spectacular camera make it a top choice for anyone ready to upgrade. SIRI: use your voice to set reminders, send a text or check weather. I also own a Galaxy S II, Galaxy Nexus and Focus. Great phone for the average user. It is a superior phone that actually feels so in the hand. It's a good change from all the "plasticy" Samsung phones. The retina display looks great. I can not tell a difference between the 720p HD display on the Galaxy Nexus and 640p display on the iPhone 4/4S. It is very snappy and does not lag at all. I have not had it crash on me once, yet. Battery life is a little better than the Android's. I do like that more applications are available and that there as hundreds of accessories made for the phone. One thing I find myself hating is the screen size. It's not utterly small, but it is annoying to switch to after using a 4.3" or 4.65" on the Android's. I must say, however, that iOS has not changed much from previous products. The icons are still the same as the original iPhone and have only a few new features (multitasking, notification center, etc). I would like to see a new build of iOS, but I doubt that's coming soon. The next iPhone is coming out in about half a year so dishing out $400-500 for a 16GB model is absurd. If you can get a price for less than that, I definitely recommend.Read full review
I have always been an android lover but kept getting frustrated over the battery life. I didn't like iphone at first. I bought my phone used and within a month accidentally dropped it and shattered the screen. I was able to get it fixed and apparently it had been repaired before. There is also some indication that the charge area has been previously exposed to water. I'll have to have this repaired as well. Luckily I know someone who is inexpensive and does so as a hobby. Is strongly recommend buying a hard protective case and not those flat cute cases. I bought a military shockproof, water resistant knockoff case and it works wonderfully. I love the camera on my iphone it takes quick repetitive shots way faster than any android. All in all it's easy to use and user friendly. I will be buying one for my husband.Read full review
The iPhone 4S might look disappointingly like its predecessor, but Apple thinks beauty is only skin deep -- asking us to look beyond a familiar frame to the hollow of hopped-up hardware hiding inside its new smart phone. One of those new components is the A5 chip, a powerful processor Apple reckons makes the 4S perfect for gaming and other processor-intensive activities. We've pitted the 4S against other devices in a few benchmark tests, so how does it fare? The answer is very well indeed. We ran the SunSpider JavaScript benchmark test on a 4S, where it managed a score of 2,181.6 (lower is better). That's great compared to the iPhone 4, which managed 3,790.3 in the same test. As you can see in the graph above, the 4S beat its predecessor, along with Samsung's Galaxy S2 and the HTC Sensation. It didn't quite beat our iPad 2 running iOS 5, though. There's no shame in that -- Apple's second-generation tablet is frighteningly fast. That's a good indicator of how speedy the 4S is in general. We also tested the 4S' gaming potential using an app called GLBenchmark 2.1, specifically its Egypt test, which runs a game-style 3D scenario and monitors how the phone performs when it comes to pulverising polygons. The 4S scored 6,568 in the standard version of this test (higher is better this time), destroying our iPhone 4's score of 1,621. The evidence was plain to see on-screen -- while the iPhone 4 struggled and stuttered in places, the 4S sailed through the test, rendering each detail without breaking a sweat, or dropping the framerate. We also ran this test on our Samsung Galaxy S2, and it scored 4,757. That's a good score, and the phone handled the 3D test with very little stuttering, though it doesn't quite match the result we squeezed from our 4S. We've also been playing demanding games such as Infinity Blade and Real Racing 2 on the iPhone 4S, and it handles both with ease. We suspect it will be a while before developers release apps that push the processing power of the 4S to breaking point. On a purely anecdotal level, the 4S feels very snappy indeed, with apps opening quickly, and no lag when you swoop through menus or type out messages. Do you have an iPhone 4S? Do you think the bump in processing power makes it worth getting, or has Apple dropped the ball by not tinkering with the phone's design? Best phone ever! Love my friends iPhones, so got the latest after issues with my old cell. And with saying 5 stars for battery life, I mean for an iPhone. It needs charged every evening/night but for an iPhone that is normal. Easy to use and perfect screen and camera. Syncs perfectly with everything. Very fast downloads. So simple to email, message, call, Skype, ect from most any screen. Never will go back to another phone type/brand. Apple really knows what they are doing! And Siri is amazing and so easy to use!
El mejor iPhone hasta el momento. - Siri Now you can use your voice to use your iPhone. Just talk to Siri as you would to a person: “Do I need an umbrella?” or “Any great burgers around here?” or “Where’s the closest ATM?” Siri not only understands what you say, it knows what you mean.1 It figures out the right apps to use to find the right answer. Then, just like a personal assistant, it answers you. Siri makes phone calls, sends messages, schedules meetings, sets reminders, and more. How much more? Just ask, and Siri tells you that, too. - Camera w/ 8MP The iSight camera just might be the best camera ever on a phone. And with all-new optics, it just might be the only camera you need. Because behind every shot, you’ve got 8-megapixel resolution and a custom lens with a larger ƒ/2.4 aperture. Not to mention an improved backside illumination sensor, excellent auto white balance, advanced color accuracy, face detection, and reduced motion blur. It all means that no matter how many people, how much light, and how much action you capture, everything looks exactly as it should. And just wait until you see the photos. - Video Shoot stunning 1080p HD video everywhere you go. With all-new optics, the light is always right, the color is always vivid, and everything will look even better than you remember. Video stabilization steadies shaky shots. And you can edit video right on iPhone and share your lush life as fast as you shoot. - iOS 5 With every iOS advancement come even easier ways to do everything. That’s what makes iOS years ahead of anything else. iOS 5 leaps even further ahead, bringing over 200 new features to iPhone 4S. Here are just a few of our favorites. - iCloud iCloud is the easiest way to manage all your stuff, because it manages it all for you. iCloud stores your music, photos, apps, mail, contacts, calendars, documents, and more. And wirelessly pushes them to all your devices. It’s automatic, effortless, and seamless. And it just works.Read full review
Unless you HAVE to have an iPhone for image sake it's just a phone. Sure there are plenty of apps but so does Android. Cost wise it's expensive but I look at it as a computer away from home so realistically it's great value. I decided to buy this model instead of the 5s because of cost and with a new phone style there are bound to be bugs to be worked out. This is already tried and tested. I like it but once I use it to its full potential I may even love it.
