About this product

Product Information

Robert Zemeckis scored a huge hit with 1985's BACK TO THE FUTURE, a film that became a genuine 1980s classic and began a successful trilogy. Taking the teen comedy a place it had never been before, on a trip to the 1950s via the 1980s, and fusing it with a time travel adventure, the film quickly became a blockbuster and established itself as a high point of 1980s pop culture. This special boxed set contains all three of Marty McFly's and Doc Brown's adventures traveling back and forth between the 1950s, the 1980s, and the 19th and 21st centuries in Doc's customized DeLorean. See individual titles for details.

Back to the future 30 years. Most people become addicted to it after the first viewing.

Of course I loved these movies. Probably my favorite one. But the extras are nice on the bonus features.

2002 Back to the future DVD review

Well, first of all, this is in standard definition, not in widescreen. It's the original home tv released version though, without touchups. Which is cool because it still has that vintage washed-out picture quality that was pretty ubiquitous during the 80s. This is the first dvd release of these movies, so I wouldnt really expect too much. Once again.. standard definition, not widescreen. no touchups. pretty much 3 stars.

  • Awesome

Even though they have released the movies as 25th and 30th anniversary editions, this 2002 set is awesome! It is loaded with bonus features, it has been digitally remastered in a 5.1 digital surround, and the picture quality is great. Some people complain that it’s not BluRay but big deal. You can put this in a Blu-ray player and it can upscale but it honestly isn’t really needed. It’s a great set and I highly recommend.

  • Entertaining for the whole family!

Loved this movie trilogy as a child and loved it again when introducing my 10 year old to it recently. Marty McFly is a typical 1980s high schooler with the typical problems - a family that doesn't understand, bully classmates, and trying to make his mark with his music. The two main people who help him are his girlfriend, Jennifer, and an older, rather eccentric friend, Doc Brown. Doc calls Marty and needs his help for his latest invention, which happens to be a time machine. Problems erupt and Marty is unintentionally sent back to the 1950s where he must look up a younger Doc for help in getting home, but winds up causing a bit of family chaos when he runs into his teenaged parents. It's a comical and exciting adventure to see if Doc and Marty can succeed, without ...

  • An very entertaining family time movie!

It’s a great step back in time and into the future for anyone that can appreciate a classic like this from this era. A nice trip back to a good look at some great/entertaining actors we don’t see much of anymore. A very entertaining trilogy for the entire family, even for the youngsters of today.
