Good value
Good quality
No sound? No problem.
I had recently acquired two General Dynamics IX-270 laptops and while I was very satisfied with their essentially durable construction, neither would put out the slightest peep following the installation of new HD's and Linux OS's. After much teeth grinding, a review of varied forums regarding this problem and downloading several new lines of code in terminal mode, I still had no sound. These little darlings, (I bought two, one for each machine) brought instant sound to both and all that was required was to plug them into any of the USB ports along with a headset. Voila! Problem resolved. The audio quality is fine as I'm primarily listening to commentary or musical accompaniment from the likes of youtube. This particular USB external audio sound card was recommended by a rather frenetic and bespectacled young man who bemoaned the unavailability of this brand for his youtube audience. Well, I certainly didn't have any trouble finding it on ebay. Case closed; highly recommended.

Does what it should
My new Win10 OS didn't want to recognize my older motherboards audio drivers so I picked this little guy up and ran my 2.1 Logitech audio through them. Works fine, decent sound for such an inexpensive device. Modified review: I thought the sound quality was, ok. Until I decided to buy a nice set of headphones, then it wasn't enough. Once I got the sound card I had ordered I realized how low the volume, weak the bass, and dulled the treble was. Don't get me wrong, for what it is, it's a good item. That is, if you don't require high quality audio. I still recommend it for those who want something in it's price range, Sabrent makes quality products. But, if you spend a bit more you can get a PCI sound card for around $30 or a pcie for slightly more. If I had to do it again, I would have purchased the sound card first/instead.

Solved my problem
I was unable to find a replacement for my internal sound card after it failed. My IT friend told me about the availability of external sound cards that plug into a USB port. This one is inexpensive, with no external controls and it worked flawlessly from the first time I connected it.

Good buy for external Sound Card
I needed a way to connect a high-quality, condenser microphone to a Windows Tablet because it did not have a mic input. I tried this with my fingers crossed and it worked perfectly. In fact, it provides even better sound quality than the stock sound card does on my desktop computer. This is a great buy for the price.

Works? yes. Xbox one? nope
If you want to plug in a head phone and to your PC's USB port. This works fine. Will not work on the Xbox one however.
