The additional 4x digital zoom extends the camera's telephoto capabilities to provide photographers with 16x zoom functionality.And, like other PowerShot series cameras, the PowerShot G5 camera also has a Direct Connect print function that allows printing without a computer via Canon's line of dye-sublimation and Bubble Jet printers for fast, high-quality photos.For creative flash photography, the PowerShot G5 includes a 3-mode built-in flash with red-eye reduction and first or second curtain sync. The flash can be operated manually or automatically. Additionally, the PowerShot G5 digital camera is fully compatible with Canon's powerful EX-series Speedlites and E-TTL wireless flash accessories for superior lighting quality The PowerShot G5 is also compatible with high-quality Canon supplementary lenses including Wide and Tele converters as well as a Close-up lens.The PowerShot G5 Pro comes complete with a 1GB Microdrive, allowing over 400 high-resolution shots of outstanding quality to be taken and stored on a single charge without changing storage medium.

    Outside of the small LCD screen the camera fits my needs well. Has it's obvious limitations but sceptical quality for the price. I bought one brand new in 2004 for $500 and was happy then.

    you get what you pay for

    There is an electrical short in this used camera. It means you have you keep your hand firmly pressed on the battery door to maintain the electrical connection so that that camera can operate. Other than that it works fine.
