A brilliant Lego set featuring both motorised pneumatics and also the screw type actuators. The suspension and attention to detail is great and the bits used again to build a multitude of different vehicles and machines

My 7 year old (experienced in Lego Technics) was in tears when he saw the number of pieces but soon got stuck in with me helping organise the pieces on the floor so he could pick them easily. He loved the pistons going up and down. It took him about 12 hours in total, and was well worth the effort. The only fault with the design is that the gear that turns the crane/grabber thingy is a little too weak, but it does try. Lots to learn, and looks great when finished.

I have been an avid fan of Lego Technic when I was a teenager. I decided to give it a go as an adult and this set proved to be an amazing choice. Highly detailed with intricate mechanical systems, this set is so finely constructed I can't recommend it enough, and building it is a great experience. I am 40 now and I feel like 16 again.

A kit not for the faint hearted! First Lego technic I've built since 1982 which was 8860 car chassis, which for its time was great. This is in a different league altogether. Although I am an accomplished mechanic and self-confessed tinkerer, this was not a walk in the park to assemble by any means. Instructions were clear, but not without fault in 2 or 3 places, mainly where you cannot see fully where assembled parts come together. One tiny part missing but luckily had a spare. If an 11 year old can build this, they should start designing new modes of transport!! Great model, great fun and SO much better than watching a screen.

Yet another superb technic model, I am still building this and so far have enjoyed every minuit. What I love about this and everything lego is the precision with which it is made. The pieces are quality and the designs are ingenious. I will I am sure be buying more.

I bought this to experience the Lego pneumatics but was disappointed because they do not provide enough power/pressure to lift the crane arm, and certainly wouldn’t work to lift any load at all. Really needs an air tank I think, although even that might not give enough pressure. Overall it was a satisfyingly complex build and the electric functions work well.
