It doesn't get babied. Rain,snow and elements not effecting it so far. The problem witn most backpacks are the zippers binding and breaking. As of yet there are no signs of that,but time will tell. It is comfortable to wear and the straps and handle are strong and capable. Overall,this is a nice stylishly classy item.
