I'm short, so I didn't notice it driving until I actually removed the mirror to install the Gentex I received. Since I use that mic, I no longer wanted to swap in the Gentex mirror nor go through the hassle of wiring in a new mic. The Gentex mirror however does look like a superb product and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to others with FJC's who would like a compass, a larger rear camera display and Homelink.
