    Great drives

    I ordered two had em several weeks now using em for personal cloud, one came white label the other still had the hgst ultrastar label both were hgst ultrastar 7k4000 drives and work great i use them in an uneclosex usb3 dock and they do make some clicking noises seeking but theyre relatively quiet for 5 platter 7200rpm desktop drives and they work great. The price was unbeatable.

    Decent drive for the price, Install well...

    Seems like a decent drive, will take time to test & use. The last one I bought only lasted a year for some reason. I bought two and put one in my sons desktop it took nearly an hour for format, but finally worked. I put the other in my desktop and it formatted in 5 min. big difference. The only thing different between the two computers is mine has I7 cpu and his is an i5 cpu. both 3.4ghz. so dunno why such a format difference for the same drive. Also these are NOT pre-formatted so PC's will not recognize them when installed. They are not plug & play friendly which should be standard today. However I believe these are good drives for the price and storage space. Time will tell. I just want people to be aware of the installation issues.
