Some serious riders still swear by the old-school spring steel toe clips and leather straps for their pedals. It's maybe not modern road bike or racing bicycle design. It's maybe not the MOST efficient pedaling set-up but t's a viable solution that many everyday riders I know still prefer. How can you not love this old-timey bicycle design? Unless you don't love it!
MKS is a fine Pacific Rim company that's been around since forever. Every cyclist should have at least one bike with a set of clips and toe straps for street shoes. IMO so-called 'half-toeclips' look classy but that's all. IMO They are a hazard.
I have used MKS pedals and clips since the nineties. Yes, I'm old but so are my MKS pedals and clips and they are in way better shape then me and still look new. My aging feet are getting bigger requiring larger clips. Took the advice of getting one size bigger so instead of a large, I opted for X Large for a perfect fit.
Classic Japanese high quality toe clips. These are much better than plastic and a great investment for retro-grouches who still like the simplicity of toes clips and straps
