Deluxe two CD edition features a second disc of all instrumentals, Rick's unique takes on classic songs including "You Send Me," "Fulsom Prison Blues," and "I'll Take You There." 2012 album from the Blues guitarist, singer and songwriter. Cruel Sunrise is Rick Holmstrom's first solo recording in five years. Between his releases Rick and his band have been performing and recording with the legendary Mavis Staples, who sings on two songs on Cruel Summer. Blues fans will dig Holmstrom's distinctive guitar tone and occasional blasts of fret board fire, while fans of Americana artists like Neil Young, Chuck Prophet, Wilco, and Neko Case will respond to his heartfelt songs.
