Letters, documents, and journals printed in newspapers and books of the era, which are still available in libraries and archives. An overview of the history of Chabad activities in the Holy Land, from the aliyah of Chassidim in 5637/1777 under the guidance of Menachem Mendel of Vitebsk until the passing of the Rebbe Yosef Yitzchak in 5710/1950. Much information on the Chabad settlements in Hebron and Jerusalem the Yeshivot, and the Kollel Chabad and Agudat Chabad organizations, all of them major pillars of the "old yishuv." Many photographs, maps, illustrations and facsimile documents. It is also available on the Chabad Library CD-ROM.
