    Excellent Active Camera

    This action cam has a variety of capabilities and is fairly easy to use once you have gone through the documentation and used the item. You tube is somewhat useful to come up on the learning curve. The video is excellent and the time lapse work quite well. I have not tried the live view. The only negative is that you cannot see what the camera is seeing unless you download an app from Sony that I have not been able to use with two different phones.

    Gopro Killer

    I do not own a gopro 5 I own a 4 black. but I wanted a camera to put on the side of my helmet while riding, I bought the last generation Sony, the A200, that was a great camera. Lost that one at the bottom of the Caribbean while diving. this I bought to replace that camera and this is by far 10 time better. the stabilization is worth the extra money.

    The best action camera in 2017

    This camera does a good job overall. The menu is difficult to use. But the best feature, the one that overcomes the other negatives, is the image stabilization (IS). The IS is optical not digital and produces a great and smooth video. GoPro cannot achieve the same effect. This one feature along with the good image quality is what makes this the best action camera as of July 2017.

    Sony fdr 3000r

    Very good product, after purchasing this, all my gopros have started to gather dust. Just have extra batteries when using it, and get good quality micro sd card to use 4k videos.

    I love this action camera.

    Great all around action camera with outstanding image stabilization and a nice slim form factor. I with it was black instead of white though, for a more low key profile.
