REAL Rolaids in a bottle.
When bicarb doesn't work, the ONLY thing that will is Rolaids peppermint tablets (these are for some reason now called "Mint"). They do have a grittiness that doesn't go away for quite some time unless you rinse vigorously several times or simply brush your teeth. I STILL find them to be the most reliable product for my stomach upset. Unfortunately, I can NOT buy them in ANY drugstore, warehouse club, or grocery store anywhere in the south.....not peppermint or mint other than the tiny roll of nearly nothing for a lot of money. I need a product that contains MAGNESIUM with the calcium--NOT aluminum combinations. And it cannot be spearmint or wintergreen as I am allergic to them. Work well, but very hard tablets!
I used Rolaids when I lived in the USA, because they work well. Better than other brands, which have less of the active ingredient that Rolaids. Even used the 'generic' brands, after Rolaids itself went off the market for a while. I always liked the soft chalky quality of the tablets themselves. These ones are so hard, I nearly broke a tooth trying to chew it... which is NOT how I remember them. I'll maybe leave the bottle open a bit, and hope the moisture in the air softens them up a little. It's a shame because Rolaids are the best.
