    Great Unit

    Easy setup from installation in wall to WiFi connection. Love the integration between Google Assistant, Alexa, and IFTTT. I have a multitude of smart devices around the house (Echo, Google Home) so it’s nice to connect my security system via IFTTT and make sure when Away is set, the thermostat adjusts. HomeKit for arriving home and the adjustment back, combined with scheduling via Honeywell; makes this a perfect entry level smart thermostat packed with a bunch of the best compatibility for whatever devices you’d like to integrate! There is one issue I’ve encountered when setting up HomeKit - if the name of your Home in the Honeywell app is different than the iOS Home app, it will create a new location for your iOS home and put your thermostat in that new location.     Open Box comes with unknown risks and hassle

    After receiving this open box item, I found out the thermostat didn’t connect to the Resideo app and thus couldn’t be configured by the app. I managed to have it connected to my Wi-Fi, updated its software and then be able to connect to the app for configuration. Although it now works, it is an older T6 edition and lacks feature of newer T6 edition. For the unknown risks and lots of hassle, I don’t recommend buying open box T6 thermostat.

    Honeywell T6 Thermostat

    This product works well once I got it installed and hooked up to the internet, but I had some issues with the installation. My home was built in 1984 and has a 4-wire lead from the attic furnace down to this thermostat. After talking with Honeywell support during the installation process, I learned that these wifi enabled thermostats require a 5-wire wiring bundle. After I dealt with that issue, connecting to the internet took a few attempts, but once my wifi modem and this thermostat found each other, its been performing very well. Connected up with the local utility co and am awaiting my rebate which will more than pay for this thermostat (excluding my labor).

    Better than Nest Thermostat

    I've owned both Nest and Honeywell Tstats. Both control Temps just fine. Nest is easier to program than Honeywell, so it has an advantage there. Honeywell is far superior after going through the difficult setup process. Vacation planning and temp adjustments are a snap. Their user interface is intuitive and friendly.

    Great product with even better features

    This was an easy install and it walks you through the setup step by step. We love the fact we can interface with Alexa and we have complete control from our phone when were away. It looks great in our home we love the style and color.
