I had to make a template to pre-drill the holes for these numbers. That's because the holes for the numbers don't go all the way through the number. This means you have to 'guess' how to align numbers like "3" that don't have straight line edges. Make a cardboard template and line up your numbers on that. Press down on the attachment "screws" to make a print in the cardboard. Your drill template.

Put the studs in the numbers and eyeball your layout out on the cardboard, squared to a straight bottom edge. When happy, carefully press the numbers down into the cardboard. Finish the indents with an awl or nail. Line up the template on your surface. Use a fine tip marker to mark through the holes. Careful not to make the hole to large. I used a 11/64 drill bit.
