Nice, and compact!
I mainly bought this to keep with my cassette tapes, which I prefer listening the good old fashion way (favorite songs from the 80's, and spoken cassettes from friends/family). I was surprised how clear it sounded through the player, so was pleasantly surprised. I like that it also has a radio, but mainly bought it for the player. Good, Not Great, but Good
Its a good deal if you want a shiny new cassette player, as opposed to a decades old used Sony, Panasonic, or other name brand player. It isn't top of the line sound and some parts feel cheap, like the door for example which fails to close flush at times making you mess around with it to get it to snap shut. The speaker is a great feature that is very convenient, but the sound is a little bit muffled so keep your expectations modest. I'd grade it a 7.5 out of 10. Its a good player, not great as a name brand like Sony or Panasonic, but the reasonably priced brand players sold here are well worn and scuffed up, while this player is pristine and has the new gadget smell.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

"Good Value for the Cost.."
This AM/FM Radio Cassette Player ( GPX CAS335B ) is a great value for what it cost. I found it very lightweight and durable. Even after dropping it on the concrete sideway while walking with it, I found it to withstand the impact with no effects. The cassette player works great and that's the main reason I purchased it. Just have to get use to it's controls. The radio works good but is somewhat weak in receiving receptions per AM. The FM works good. Overall it's a good workable value. You may want to remove the batteries when not in use. They seem to loose their power after a period of no activity if left in unit. God Bless !Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

This is a very nice feature packed AM/FM/Cassette player and recorder, GPX brand Walkman. Runs on two AA BATTERIES, has built in speaker for listening without headphones. Comes with stereo ear buds, has belt clip. Has a DC input jack to use an AC adapter. Sound is very good through earphones, and fairly decent from its speaker. It is not stereo but sound comes through both ear buds. Radio reception good, and tapes play at right speed. Record too with built in Mic. Tested FM and AM RECEPTION. Tapes play well, and and it records with its microphone quite decent. 2 AA battery powered, and a bargain at this price for unit that does so much.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

horrible
i thought that by paying a bit more money id get something better. This doesn't even have an on/off switch so it runs continually ! The tuning roller is made down in so low that you can't even turn the wheel. and it only starts from the number 88. I bought this specially for the station 83.3 .
