    Knife came unharmed but just lucky. It was shipped in a plastic bag. Zero protection. Lucky original knife box was not damaged. The boxes mean a lot to a collector. But it did come unharmed . No communication except one question was answered. Not the best seller I’ve dealt with due to poor shipping package.

    Gerber Fast Draw Mini

    This little knife needs a bit of breaking in, but it does work as advertised. It's a great little knife with a very small footprint for your pocket. I find it a comfortable and easy to use knife for small tasks around the house...opening boxes, letters, etc. It seem pretty well built for what it is (made in China) and is sharper than my expectations. In all a good buy.

    Dull Knife out of the box

    This knife had an edge angled on it but would not cut butter. I spent 30 minutes between a stone and honing stick to get it sharp. I cannot express how dull it really was. I have about 10 Gerber knives and not one has ever been this dull. They are all very sharp out of the box. I believe this knife was a second which was known to be non sharp was sold a lower cost because of same. I was unhappy with the sharpness but after the initial 30 minutes of sharpening it will now shave hair like a new Gerber will.

    It's worth having

    It is a bit smaller than I expected, having not held one before In my hand. Spring does make a squeaking sound when Folding but I don't see a problem with the performance so far. It's quite sharp, and has no movement or wiggle in the blade in any direction. I will be purchasing the full sized model.

    Excellent beginner knife

    We whittle. Well, I do, as it stands. I'm teaching Kid-O. This is a very easy knife to learn with. It's not too hard (easily sharpened), and not too soft (doesn't go dull quickly). Hasn't loosened much in 3 years of regular use. Best for small hands, but they have a larger version of the same one.

    Small but handy.

    There is no doubt that this knife is on the small side, but I have no problem opening (and closing) one handed with no break in required--and my paws are pretty beefy. The spring is not as powerful as some, and the assisted blade gently, but positively clicks into place. The knife is well made, but I am concerned about the longevity of this design. Gerber does have a life time warranty, so I'm not terribly concerned. Since the knife is so light, I tend to clip it on the collar of my tee shirt. Easier access when sitting, and and looks like a pen, even if not wearing a button up shirt over it.
