    Good product, just needed time to break in.

    I replaced the steering damper on my F350 that had leaked out anything that was in it. I went with Bilstein because I've read reviews and also know them to have a good product. What I installed the new steering damper and it made the steering very tight. There definitely wasn't any play. Note, I had also just replaced the steering gear a week prior. The one problem I had with the new steering damper was turning left it would stick in 3 separate locations. Sometimes making it a little scary to drive. I drove it for about 2 weeks and just today it opened up and is loose enough to steer yet tight like it should be. Until today I was a little worried about it but reading other people's experiences with Bilstein customer service saying to let it break it I figured I would just wait and see. ...

    Wrong Nut

    I purchased this Steering Damper right before I went on vacation delivery time was good. But the nut to hold shaft was the wrong one needed to be metric and fine thread, had to spend extra time trying to find the correct nut for it. Not value added to my time.

    2004 f250

    Great factory replacement, I didn't need any extra hardware for installation, came with everything needed. Worked great from the first time tested and put 1000 miles on it and steers great only have 34 tires but really smooth
