    Best Bang for the Buck

    This processor clearly outperforms the AMD A8 5400 that came with my HP Pavilion g6 2238dx. If you max out the memory and install a solid state hard drive, you will see top performance. My laptop is running better than new and outperforming some of the newer laptops I have. HP recommended a new laptop, so I spent less than $100 and now have a 10 year old laptop running pretty quick and reliably.

    Works After Fixing Bent Pins

    I received the AMD A10 CPU poorly packaged that had 3 bent pins, I don't know if it was shipped that way or if the pins were bent in shipping but, by looking at the crappy way in which the CPU was packaged it's a pretty good bet that, that was the reason for the bent pins. After straightening the pins, I plugged the CPU into the socket and fired it up, so far it is working fine but, if I had not been a computer tech it may not have worked at all. The average person who is not computer savvy wouldn't have had a clue what to do. the90sbox needs to take a little more pride and care it their packaging of products that they sell.

    A Great Upgrade for most 4xxx or 5xxx series APU equipped laptops.

    A massive improvement over the AMD A4 it replaced. Ease of install will vary based on laptop model, but on my HP Probook 6475b access to the heatsink and cpu socket was as simple as sliding a switch and pulling off the bottom panel. The install process required the computer to be running in UEFI instead of legacy for the computer to boot, which required a reinstall of Windows 10. However, even with the factory bios version it is fully compatible with all features, including TurboCore, and scores very highly on benchmarks. It can even handle some light gaming with dual channel RAM, playing games like Team Fortress 2 and League of Legends fluently, and even newer titles like Overwatch in low settings. All in all, a worthy upgrade.

    AM5750 -Used but not abused

    I found that this CPU performed as good as the original, where I experienced LCD screen flicker and drop outs. The LCD cable was also replaced, but I was surprised that the two new installs performed nicely, so far. I am always leery of USED components, especially a CPU. But, so far, I am pleased. The unit arrived clean and and, so far, reliable as advertised. Thank you to the eBay and the supplier.
