The Grestch Alligator is a great little guitar! The neck is great and sound is really good, I have several resonators and it sounds distinctly different but still plenty of mojo for the money. Mine played well right out of the box. It’s really kind of a parlor guitar/resonator and you really can’t go wrong. I have been looking at them online for a couple-few years but I could not find one in New York City to play, to see if I actually liked the guitar. If you’re on the fence at all I recommend it! This is my first resonater, and I'm hooked ! Just needed a minor truss rod adjustment, and it was good. Plays great and has that swampy / bluesy sound you'd expect from it. Looks great with the fancy headstock , holds tune well, and the action is a good height for strumming , or bottle neck slide.
