Super low cost upgrade to Mid Bass sounds
This is an inexpensive thing you can do to get more mid bass out of your door speakers and also protect them from water as well. I always cut the back out of the baffle so that it can breath but still surrounds and protects the speaker from water. When the speaker can breath with Mid Range and full range you get more bass and you leave the back closed it actually cuts down the bass. I used a Combination of new aftermarket speaker, damping mat on door skin, speed rings and Foam Baffle and I tell you what you get crystal clear sound that normally takes very expensive speakers to produce. As I did each phase I would compare the sounds as I had 4 doors to do. You can for a fact hear the difference. It was just amazing to hear the OEM's then with each enhancement that was super low cost and easy to do and how much clearer and crisper the sound got and really tell it in the Mid Base range. I have a JBL 14 speaker System in my Car and it sounds amazing even better then when brand new. It has a Factory Amp that I kept. Best low cost upgrade ever.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

made speakers sound better
I had high pass xover set at 100hz on front speakers because they would distort if I went lower than that.. once I added these I could lower it to 70hz no distortion.. I even lowered to 40hz on few songs no distortion speakers woulda blown up before adding the baffles.. just poke small hole in bottom of them to run wire through..Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
