    bad copy of a good design

    This latch is made to look like the Stanley screen door latch we all know except it has one serious flaw. In the original latch the push rod that operates the opening mechanism is made of steel. In this version the push rod is made of plastic. When pressure is applied to the plastic push rod when attempting to open the door, the push rod deflects off the harder parts and jams in the lock. This piece of equipment is completely useless but looks just like the real one. Don't buy it unless you like problems.
