If you have an older PC and can run it correctly, then you should not think twice about purchasing this product. Unfortunately those of us with high-end performance PCs will have some headaches getting this program to run properly since it uses its own form of hardware garphics acceleration embedded in its programming that, together with our powerful graphics cards, will speed up the animation on the game 50x. Its almost impossible to enjoy the game this way.
The game 11th hour doesn't run on my computer. They did state it would but it needs an old computer to run on. My husband has a computer business so he is going to try and locate an old enough computer that will run the game. Long ago I player the game 7th guest which is a part 1 of this game. And I loved it so I was looking forward to playing this game...but I will have to wait until we can get a computer that will run this. Boo hoo...
This game builds on some of the strengths of its predecessor, the 7th Guest, but it suffers from a surplus of puzzles that are difficult because they are long and tedious or luck-based instead of innovative. The story is more fleshed out than the original and the acting is as full of B movie awesomeness as ever. If you want to get this running on a modern machine, just get DosBox, it's a Free Open Source program that emulates a DOS system and allows you to run pretty much any DOS game made. I'm running this game more or less successfully on a Ubuntu machine.
This has to be one of the most exciting computer games I have ever played. It did take a while to figure out how to install it onto my computer, but once that happened it had ahold of my attention until I beat it! Awesome game for young adults and beyond. :P
This game does not work on any of the newer systems. It is too bad because it was really a good game. If you have an older system then you would truly enjoy this game
