No issue with the seller or the transaction. The nail gun arrived in an envelope vs a box and the striker was broken as a result. I notified the seller and he promptly provided a return label for the prepaid return. The broken striker piece was missing as the envelope had a couple of holes in it. If the item had been properly packaged in a box with some padding I think it would have been less work for everyone involved....lesson learned.

Sometimes you have to spend to save!

I was looking to replace my old brad nailer (different brand) that was becoming somewhat unpredictable and unreliable. I own other Milwaukee tools and have found them to perform better than adequately. Having their battery format was good enough reason to consider Milwaukee again. This product, to me, represents good value for money compared with my old gun. The initial purchase price is only part of the story. The cost of the 'expendables' is the clincher here. Think of it as buying as being similar to buying a cheap printer only to find the ink cartridges are hideously expensive compared to buying a slightly more expensive, better performing printer that has vastly cheaper cartridges. That's what's at play here. To go with this tool I also purchased 20 000 nails locally. By the time I've ...

Its okay. they can do better.

Its good, not the best. Milwaukee can do better. first off, its massive compared to other brands, and nearly twice the size and weight of my pneumatic nailer. Its too bulky to get certain angles and hard to get in to smaller spaces where you need a nailer to fit. As far as the nailing action, its solid, and very good. you can adjust the nail depth which is for the most part consistent if you can get the unit where you want it. i found any 45 degree nailing was not consistent, . if you use it for wide open nailing then its a good option, if you're locked in to Milwaukee's M12/M18 battery line, you're in the same situation as me. Also, remember the first time you go to use it, you need to press and hold the power button to turn it on.

  • Only buy if you need for work or major projects .

I do have extra disposable money to buy some things I want, which in this case is exactly what I did. Yes, I plan a future project to install molding but if not for winning a bid at a lower rate, I never would have bought it. Don’t get me wrong, the brad gun works great with no problems, but cost is a bit much for DIYers. Also, you really need to already be in the M18 family of tools so as not to have to buy batteries since mine was a stand alone purchase. Love the power and ease of use from tool, but is a bit heavy yet manageable. Bigger batteries adds more weight. Fires brad nails easily through all wood that I have tested with ease. Bottom line: if you are in construction, without a doubt tool justifies price because you use item enough. But DIYers, you need to think for ...

  • An excellent finish nailer a little heavy but lighter than a compressor

This nail gun is fast and precise, heavier than an air gun but now I don't have to pull the compressor out, find good power, and run a hose. I pop on a battery and away I go. I did loose the rubber tip then it was hard to fire, there were too extra tips attached to the gun but I have not been able to find replacements online. maybe it's too new. possibly they are a standard size

  • One of the best tools in my arsenal

They seemed to have fixed all the bugs that plagued the previous model and this tool is a pleasure to own. It is quite heavier than a traditional 18ga nailer but that trade off is well worth it in my opinion as I nolonger have to lug a compressor, hose and fight for power or find a spider box on the jobsite. Shooting up to 2 1/8" nails is also a nice feature. Drives as deep as I want it to and is cleanly driven into material. Got it on sale brand new for 150$. That's easily what a compressor would have cost me alone.
