    Great Value and great product

    I plan on going camping again and learning to survive and one of the most important rules in survival is a need for water (can only survive 3 days without water). So naturally I bought this for the classic design and it kind of gives me a nostalgic feeling. Anyways the fabric on the sides is soft and feels very nice and the strap holds very well even when the canteen is nice and full. Amazingly despite the rounded shape, it stays nozzle up very nicely. Now some downsides are the metal on the side get condensation when the canteen is full of water which can be bad if you place it on a wooden surface. Also the interior is plastic so if you're boiling water in the wilderness (be sure to also filter as some sediment can't be destroyed by heat), you can get nasty chemicals leaked into the ...

    Cheap plastic canteen

    Item is purported to be made out of aluminum. However, it is made out of plastic with aluminum trim. Also, strap is very short, probably can only be used for a child.

    Good for one person

    I wanted a good one person canteen for my backpack inventory. The BPA-free aspect is important to me, although I did not see that shown on the package. I rinsed this one out with some baking soda and later checked it for any odd odor. It's clean smelling. It's budget priced and may not be as tough as some others, but it seems to be very good. The adjustable strap is just right when lengthened to full.

    My only gripe with this is that the strap is too short for an adult to wear comfortably, it would work just fine for a child though
