Pertsonix Ignitions
This last one is the THIRD Pertronix unit I have installed on older trucks. All I can say is DO IT! You will not be disappointed. They are easy to install, taking about 2-3 hours. Once installed and the timing is set the motors run great, start easy, cold or hot, percolate perfectly, and no more points or condenser issues again....EVER!

Pertronix 1181 HEI
Petronix is a top brand and rightfully so. I installed the 1181 on my 64 chevy 283, took about 15 minutes, recapped the plugs, checked the timing, and fired it right up. It fires first key turn every time. So much easier and dependable than points. No ballast needs on mine. Added a hotter coil to burn cleaner. Great product at a great price.

Toss out those old points...
Toss out those old points ignition systems and install Pertronix electronic ignition. Smoother idle, faster start, better milage, great quality, low price, easy 2 wire installation...

I used this to eliminate the points in a 19732 GMC motor home to solid state ignition. So far it is working great. Time will tell if it will take the heat generated by the Olds 455 engine over time.

didn't hear about pertronix till just recently, heard alot of positive reviews.saw some you tube videos on the product.and was looking for an upgrade on my 73 k10 with points (hate points)from start to finish was done in 40 minutes didnt have to remove the distrbutor or anything didnt even have to adjust the timing.fired right up idles smooth like hei its been apprx 4 weeks since install not one problem,thank you pertronix!!down the road will upgrade to the ls model where i wont need the magnet.again totally recommend it !!!!!!
