      Printing and canceling shipping labels

You can save time and money by using eBay Labels to ship your sold items on eBay.

When you print a shipping label with eBay Labels, our negotiated rates let you save money relative to what you would pay at the post office or to a carrier for most services, and you'll save time by not having to stand in line. Depending on which carrier you choose, the cost of the label can be paid for from your available funds, or from your on-file payment method.

Here are a few more benefits of using eBay labels:

      • You can print your label using your home printer or a label printer
      • It's easy to add services such as Signature on Delivery and additional liability coverage
      • Your parcel's tracking information is uploaded to the eBay order automatically
      • You can add the order number or other custom text to your label
      • If you don’t have a printer at home, you may also have the option to generate a QR code to print the label at a participating drop-off location

You can print USPS, FedEx, or UPS shipping labels from Orders in My eBay - opens in new window or tab or Seller Hub - opens in new window or tab.

      • FedEx and UPS shipping label charges will be paid with your funds, or from your on-file payment method if your funds are insufficient
      • USPS shipping labels can be paid for with your funds or on-file payment method. You’ll see the option to select your payment method when printing a label

How to print a USPS SCAN Form

USPS typically requires a Shipment Confirmation Acceptance Notice (SCAN) form to scan 5 or more packages at the pickup or drop-off location. Instead of scanning each individual package, they can scan the SCAN form for all packages.

You can create the USPS SCAN form on the desktop site only. Here's how:

      1. Go to the bulk shipping tool - opens in new window or tab page.
      2. Select SCAN forms - opens in new window or tab at the top right-hand side of the page.
      3. Create and print the SCAN form.

You can create one SCAN form for each bulk shipping label purchase. Once the SCAN form is scanned by USPS, any labels assigned to that SCAN form won't receive a credit if canceled.

      Tip
If your label doesn’t print as expected, double-check your label print format settings to make sure the default label size matches your desired label size. The label size format can only be adjusted before purchasing the label.

Shipping an order in multiple packages

When shipping an order in multiple packages, you can print a different label for each package.

Once you've printed the label for your first package, simply select Print another label for this order from the label confirmation page. You can then enter the weight and dimensions for the next package.

Each additional label you print will have its own tracking number and will be charged separately, based on the package weight and dimensions you entered.

Orders are limited to 5 tracking numbers per transaction.

      QR code shipping labels

If you don't have a printer at home, you can choose the QR code option where available. You'll receive a QR code which you can save to your phone. You can then scan the code at a participating drop-off location to print the shipping label there. Here's how:

      1. Go to Orders in Seller Hub - opens in new window or tab or My eBay - opens in new window or tab.
      2. Select Print shipping label

      7. Save the QR code on your device and bring it with your package to your nearest drop off location offering Print in store.
      8. Have the retail associate scan the QR code to print the shipping label and attach it to your package. Some self-service kiosks may also support label printing via QR code.
