Are you a buyer looking to make a card payment? Read our article on paying for items with a credit or debit card
If you’re enrolled in managed payments, buyers will be able to pay with credit card, debit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and PayPal when you sell in most eBay categories. If you’re not a managed payments seller and wish to offer buyers a way to pay online with a credit or debit card, you must accept PayPal.
All of these methods are covered by the eBay Money Back Guarantee.
Managed Payments on eBay
If you’re currently enrolled in managed payments on eBay, eBay will manage the end-to-end payments experience for you. You will not need to select any payment method when creating your listings: they’ll automatically be updated to reflect all the ways your buyers can pay.
Your buyers will be able to safely and securely pay with credit card, debit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, or PayPal and complete their entire transaction on eBay, with the option to save and store their credit card information for future use. They will not see or experience eBay’s processor in checkout. With payments managed by eBay, you and the buyer are covered by the eBay Money Back Guarantee.
Non-managed payments sellers on eBay
If you’re not currently enrolled in or eligible for managed payments on eBay, you’re required to accept PayPal when selling in most categories. When you accept PayPal, buyers can check out online using credit cards, Visa or Mastercard debit cards, or their PayPal account. Both you and the buyer are covered by the eBay Money Back Guarantee.
