A Sucker for Seersucker
The twin Colossi of cool summertime fabrics are linen, which comes from flax, and seersucker, which comes from cotton. Like Atticus Finch, I'm a sheer sucker for seersucker's lightweight feel and moisture-wicking properties, and this collection focuses on that fabric, as well as its less crinkly cousin, pincord (I actually think that Mr. Peck, above, is wearing pincord). I have a pair of pincord trousers that I wear to church (I play the pipe organ) and I find that thanks to their curious gripping properties, they're the only pair of dress trousers I own that allow me to slide around on a wooden bench without slipping off of it.
