About Yamaha XS400
Some things you do not want in excess, but a Yamaha is not one of them. The Yamaha XS400 classifies as a vintage bike with production dating back to the 1970s. The XS is an early version of Yamaha's racing motorcycles. It comes with a six-speed transmission system, which you can operate using a pedal shifter. This bike features a mechanical chain drive, electric and kick starters, and a handy kickstand on the left side, letting you stop and park wherever you please. Shock absorbers in the front and rear help cushion the blows of potholes, uneven pavement, and other debris that otherwise causes a tooth-jarring ride. Like most motorcycles, the Yamaha XS400 gets better with age. Early versions, like the 1979 Yamaha XS400, have a shorter frame and smaller fuel tank than later bikes. They have stiffer and heavier frames too, making them less comfortable for long-distance riding. The later 1982 Yamaha XS400 features a larger size and technological improvements, such as self-stopping turn signals, a lighter frame, and reflective lights in the rear. You can look for these classics on eBay, where a large inventory displays models in many years and trims.
