About Wire Wheels
There are few aftermarket car parts that approach an ostentatious level of luxury while still maintaining a classic sophistication. Wire wheels are such an example of a show-stopping look that never goes out of style. In particular, Dayton wire wheels were famously displayed in Dr. Dre and Snoop Doggy Dogg's (now known as Snoop Lion) iconic "Nuthin' but a G Thang." The chrome beauties adorned a low-riding, bouncing 1964 Chevrolet Impala. Even if you are not into the gangster image, you have to admit — you want that car. Alternatively, the Cadillacs of the 1960s featured genuine wire wheels, with the signature badge placed in the center. These particular wheels are more rare than the luxurious but ubiquitous Daytons. Fortunately, sellers on eBay offer a variety of Cadillac wire wheels. If the genuine article is a bit out of your budget, Cadillac did produce their cars with simpler wired hubcaps during the 1980s and 1990s. These caps provide the look without the meticulous care needed with the real deal. Of course, many companies also produce so-called knock-off wire hubcaps to give your car the star treatment.
