About Vintage Joy Division Shirts

If you find yourself humming along to tunes like "Love Will Tear Us Apart" and "Atmosphere," you can count yourself among Joy Division's many fans. This also makes you an ideal candidate to purchase and wear vintage Joy Division shirts. The new wave/post-punk band from Manchester, England lasted only a few years and put out a pair of studio albums, but some of the songs were memorable enough to make lifelong fans of the group. Because Joy Division disbanded in 1980 after the death of lead singer Ian Curtis, almost all of the shirts related to the band are vintage, and only a few styles of shirts are still available today. A couple of the T-shirts available feature photos of band members against a black cotton T-shirt with the band's name in two-tone bold lettering or in light blue letters with a dividing line between the first and last name of the group. Other shirts show the cover of the band's studio albums, "Unknown Pleasures" and "Closer." Random other vintage Joy Division shirts are available and part of the vast inventory on eBay, including ones featuring only lead singer Curtis or the band's biggest single, "Love Will Tear Us Apart." Although band only lasted a few years, they left a legacy that many fans still remember today, and paying tribute with a Joy Division shirt is a terrific way to show how much you like the band.
