About Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

The pizza-loving, sewer-dwelling Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are four anthropomorphic reptiles who fight crime using martial arts skills they learned from their rat sensei, Splinter. The enduring charm of these four adolescent vigilantes has a lot to do with their distinct personalities. Donatello is the brainiac inventor. Raphael is the moody fighter. Leonardo is the born leader, and Michelangelo just wants to have fun and play pranks. Their female sidekick, April O'Neil, acts as their liaison to the outside world. Together, they've "cowabunga-ed" their way to success as not just comic book and television icons but as a powerhouse franchise that's spilled over into toys, video games, manga, anime and full-length feature films. You can even see the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles perform live in concert—they're rock musicians, too. This foursome has secured a strong foothold with multiple generations of kids. Watch the original live-action films from the 1990s, or enjoy the new computer-animated movies. Relive your childhood by watching all the episodes from the original animated series and playing the first NES video games, or you can play the latest punch-em on PlayStation or DS. Collect the classic Archie comics or the most recent manga stories featuring the ninjas. Surprise your kids with the entire TMNT action figure set, which feature posable bodies that punch, kick, and swivel to recreate the action-packed storylines from TV, movies and books. Whether you grew up watching the 2D-animated TV series or your kids are addicted to Nickelodeon's CGI-animated version, you're still chanting, "Heroes in a half shell. Turtle power!"
