About Saratoga Horse Racing
It's the thunder of hooves as they round the turn into the final straight at Saratoga. Known as the "Sport of Kings," horse racing is one of the oldest sports. Located in Saratoga Springs, New York, the Saratoga race track was first used for standard bred racing in 1847 and thoroughbreds in 1863, making it the oldest track, and possibly the oldest venue, in the US. It's most often used for thoroughbred racing, and was the site of both Man o' War's only defeat, and Secretariat's defeat after winning the Triple Crown. With over a century and a half of history counting thoroughbred racing alone, Saratoga has given rise to countless different pieces of memorabilia. Shirts, hats, plates, mugs; Saratoga has it all. There are modern pieces suitable for display, and vintage souvenirs going back over a century. Browse eBay to find an assortment of merchandise from reliable sellers. Throw on your cap and place your bets—it's time for a day at the races.
