About Ralph Steadman

If your decor is too subdued, bring some "Gonzo" into your home with works by Ralph Steadman. The artist — who had a long partnership with the late Hunter S. Thompson, founder of Gonzo journalism, is known for his offbeat, frenetic drawings and paintings. Many of his works include a motorcycle or biker theme, and they have a strong and often scary perspective that is not for the faint of heart. You can find edgy Steadman illustrations that were included in Thompson's books, such as "Where the Buffalo Roam," "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas," and "The Curse of Lono." If you do not want to bring too much fear and loathing into your decorating scheme, you can also find a Steadman poster from his illustrations of children's classics like "Treasure Island" and "Alice in Wonderland," and from his original art books. A Steadman print of a teddy bear, or one depicting Thompson's cat, Jones, would work well in a teen's room or a playroom for older kids. You can find all the Ralph Steadman art you need when you choose from the wide selection available on eBay.
