About Pontiac Sunbird
If you dream of flying down the highway with the wind in your hair and the sun on your face, then you dream of the Pontiac Sunbird. General Motors began production of the Sunbird in 1975, appealing to a wide range of motorists with coupe, sedan, hatchback, station wagon, and convertible body styles. The first generation Pontiac Sunbird was in production until 1980, and with enough room for four passengers, a classic body shape, and five-speed manual or three-speed automatic transmission options, it was the sporty subcompact of choice for weekend road trips with friends and family. In 1983, GM released the new 2000 Sunbird convertible, and with the Pontiac Sunbird convertible top down, cruising the freeway became the perfect way for sun-seekers to spend their time. The Sunfire replaced the Sunbird in 1995, but that does not mean a Pontiac Sunbird is beyond your reach. If you want to experience the thrill of driving this classic car, but cannot foot the bill at a dealership, do not get in a flap; instead, shop on eBay where many sellers offer vintage cars and accessories at great prices.
