About Plymouth Belvedere
For those worthy of its vintage glory, the Plymouth Belvedere is an old-school icon of top-grade class. Produced by the Chrysler Corporation, this all-American automobile lineup ran from 1954 all the way to 1970. The Plymouth Belvedere is divided into two periods designated by the body. Models from 1954 to 1964 were full-size, while models between 1965 and 1970, like the 1966 Plymouth Belvedere, were mid-size. The first-generation models, like the 1955 Plymouth Belvedere, boasted a 217.8 cubic inch engine capable of generating 97 horsepower due to a relatively low compression ratio of 7.00:1. The Plymouth Belvedere was preceded by the Plymouth Cranbrook and, in 1971, it was succeeded by the Plymouth Satellite. Though the car is decades old, Plymouth connoisseurs can find a wide variety of models and parts available on eBay. If you are tired of the newer models on the road and want to drive something that can really satisfy your nostalgic lusts, one of the many cars from the Belvedere series are sure to whet your appetite for old-school style.
