About Movie Props
You may never do you morning commute in the Batmobile, or be lifted up to your 20th floor office by the giant gentle hand of King Kong, but there are plenty of smaller, more attainable movie props that might bring you closer to the Hollywood world that you love. Doc Brown's airborne DeLorean from "Back to the Future II" might be out of the question, but his zany chrome-like sunglasses can easily be yours. Authentic, screen-used props abound in the vast selection on eBay, including items as rare as stabbing-pointed T1000 finger from "Terminator II: Judgment Day" or as recent as the yellow backpack worn by Ben Stiller in "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty." Movie props make terrific gifts even for people that may not be full-fledged film fanatics, but do have keen memories for the select few movies that they loved. For example, anyone of theater-going age back when "Beetlejuice" came out would likely be tickled to find a copy of the Handbook for the Recently Deceased appear on a coffee table in their house. For the younger reader and movie-buff in your life, Harry Potter movie props such as Harry's spectacles or various characters' magic wands are available in abundance. Comic book movie aficionados can impress their friends with a life-size replica of Captain America's shield or Iron Man's mask, complete with glowing electronic eyes.
