Jim Marshall founded Marshall Amplification in 1962. The Marshall JCM 900 series, named after Marshall's initials and the registration plate of his car, has been a favorite of pop, rock, punk, and grunge musicians since its introduction in the early 1990s. The 4100 is a modernized reissue of the 1990s JCM900. The JCM 900 4100 series' popularity is defined by its versatile tube overdrive, clean tone, and two-channel reverb. The head features two foot-switchable channels with shared four-band EQ presence, bass, middle, and treble with independent volume, reverb, and gain controls. Players can switch between clean and distorted tone with the push of a foot-operated switch. Channel A is clean to crunchy while channel B produces smooth distortion to screams. Its features, versatility, size, and tone make it the ideal road-approved stage amp. There is a large inventory of JCM 900 100-watt dual reverb guitar amplifier heads available on eBay. Most include a hard case, power cable, and manual. The Marshall name is in script on the amp, but the true signature is in its sound.
