About LEGO Star Wars

Some combinations, like peanut butter and jelly, are instant winners. The same can be said about Lego's partnership with the Star Wars franchise to create the Lego Star Wars brand. The pairing has endured for more than a decade and has produced toys that resonate with science fiction fans and Star Wars scholars across the globe. A Lego Star Wars set is packed full of adventure. You can recreate scenes from the classic movies, as well as the sequels and prequels, with surprising accuracy and attention to detail. Pretend you're Luke Skywalker and Han Solo battling Darth Vader, or recreate scenes with your other favorite characters. Lego has them all, from Chewbacca to Obi-Wan Kenobi, Darth Maul, Princess Amidala, Yoda and Jar Jar Binks. Most Lego Star Wars sets are small, consisting of a character or two combined with either a vehicle, dwelling or nonhuman creature. Combine the small sets to create a veritable Star Wars realm on your living room carpet. There are also Ultimate Collector Series sets geared more toward teens and adults. They are expensive, large-scale and complex Lego designs that even come with placards and display stands. The brand has also inspired a series of video games that coincide with the various films that have been released over the years, such as "Lego Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy" and "Lego Star Wars III: The Clone Wars." You can find Lego mini-sets that coincide with all the Star Wars films. There are also several short movies starring the Lego cast and a Cartoon Network TV series, "Lego Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Out."
