If the Lamborghini Aventador looks like a car about to take flight, it is only because it borrowed design cues from U.S. fighter jets. Like all Lamborghini flagship sports cars, the Aventador got its name from a legendary fighting bull. This mid-engine, all-wheel drive sports car first came out in 2011 as a two-door coupe and roadster. It carries a 6.5-liter V12 engine matched with a seven-speed semi-automatic transmission. Lamborghini expects to sell only 4,000 units of the Aventador during its decade-long run but demand for the car exceeds that figure. There are already a few special limited edition variants of the car including the 2012 Lamborghini Aventador Dreamliner Edition with its black wheels and a color scheme that takes after the Boeing 787 Dreamliner. Motor Trend calls the Aventador "the friendliest V12 supercar in the world" and Car and Driver named it "the best Lamborghini ever." With the large inventory of sports cars on eBay, you can pick up a Lamborghini Aventador and find out for yourself why the car, with fighter jet looks and named after a bull, is the epitome of automobile excellence.
