About GMC Syclone

Rocketing from zero to 60 miles per hour in only 4.3 seconds, it is hard to believe a truck can have such high performance, but that is where the GMC Syclone started breaking new ground when it first came out in 1991. The GMC Syclone has some of the best acceleration, with a turbocharged, six-cylinder engine releasing a sizable 280 horsepower and 350 pounds per foot of torque. Syclones, including the succeeding Typhoon models, come with four-speed automatic transmissions and a Bog Warner all-wheel-drive systems, so the torque is split – 35 percent in the forward wheels and 65 percent in the rear wheels. The Syclone revolutionizes what a pickup truck can be, offering a four-wheel anti-lock braking system for the first time in its initial run. By searching through a vast inventory on eBay, you can find Syclone trucks. If you are interested in the original paint jobs, the 1991 models only came in black. However, before they were discontinued, the 1992 models came in a wider range of colors. You might also be interested in the special-edition models from third parties, like the Marlboro Syclone, which comes with custom features including a targa-style roof panel, Boyd Coddington Cobra wheels, Sony sound system, a special red paint job, and other special features.
