When people think of Gibson guitars, they often think of the iconic guitars that the company makes, such as the Gibson Les Paul and Gibson Flying V guitars to the musicians who play them like B.B. King, Chuck Berry, Jimmy Page, and Keith Richards. One such guitar, which is a variation of the Gibson ES-335, is the Gibson ES-355 guitar. The ES-355 is a semi-acoustic thinline semi-hollow guitar that has double pickups and a headstock with split diamond inlay. Other features of the guitar include inlaid mother-of-pearl blocks on the fretboard, a mahogany neck, either a Bigsby vibrato tailpiece or Vibrola vibrato unit, nickel-plated or gold hardware, Tune-O-Matic bridge, one-piece slim taper mahogany neck, Grover kidney tuners, and 1957 Classic pickups. The finishes available include Antique Cherry, Ebony, Sunburst, and Antique White. One version of the ES-355 that has Varitone tone filtering circuitry, maple neck, optional stereo wiring, and the lack of an F-hole on the top of the guitar is the guitar known as "Lucille" made famous by King. Many variations of the Gibson ES-355 guitar are available as part of the vast inventory on eBay, making it possible for guitarists of every skill level to be able to play the guitar like a music legend.
