About FXD Dyna Super Glide

In 1995, the Harley-Davidson FXD Dyna Super Glide replaced the 9-year-old FXR Super Glide II, designed by Willie G. Davidson. The FXR's 32-degree rake gave way to the FXD's 28-degree rake, improving its cornering ability. The rake, also known as the fork offset, measures the angle of the motorcycle's headstock against a perpendicular line to the ground. A smaller rake angle slightly decreases the bike's stability when riding on the straightaway. A Dyna Super Glide makes a great canvas for a chrome-fest or for a moody blackout scheme. These popular Harleys combine the maneuverability of the Dyna with the powerful performance of a big air-cooled V-twin engine. The Dyna Super Glide usually features a solo seat, bobber front fender, pullback handlebars, and 11-inch forward controls for cruising comfort. The 1584cc V2 four-stroke engine puts out 92 lbs. per foot of torque at 3000 rpm, and the six-speed transmission makes it easy to lean back and cruise. Browse the vast listings on eBay for a Harley-Davidson FXD Dyna Super Glide, either as a great cruising bike or a donor bike for an existing project.
