About Buell Blast
The Buell Blast was a blast while it lasted and it went out with a big bang. During the 2000s, Harley-Davidson used this standard motorcycle to attract new riders to its brand. The Buell is a low-cost bike that is easy to ride and maintain. It has a 492cc air-cooled, four-stroke, single-cylinder engine that produces 34 horsepower at maximum rev. The Buell Blast motor is sufficiently powerful, yet civil, thanks to the two overhead valves feeding its cylinder and stroke. It is a no-frills bike that can take the abuse dished out by an inexperienced rider. Even the Buell Blast seat is adjustable so young riders can comfortably ride it. However, the Blast was too popular for its own good and the company discontinued it because it competed with small Harleys. In a symbolic campaign to mark the end of its run, Buell Motorcycle Company crushed the last of the Blasts and offered them for sale as cubes. Fortunately, you can still get a Buell Blast from the large inventory of standard motorcycles on eBay.
