About 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1
The 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1 was the first Mustang to outmuscle its competitors in the pony car war. Following the release of the first Mustangs in late 1960s, Ford also introduced high-performance variants of its sporty car. Both the Mach 1 and the 1969 Ford Mustang Boss 429 share the same visual design as the 1969 Ford Mustang Fastback but improve on its aesthetics with hood scoops, pop-up gas caps, chrome exhaust tips, and rear deck spoilers. While the biggest engine in the Mach 1 is a 7.0-liter V8 engine, that is the only engine available for the Boss 429, which sold for only two years and is the rarest and most collectible muscle car ever made. The 1969 Mach 1 is not without an enviable history too. It set 295 speed and endurance records when Hot Rod magazine took it to the Bonneville Salt Flats.
